张可欣，1957年生于哈尔滨。1982年毕业于哈尔滨师范大学美术系(后改为艺术学院)。1989年任黑龙江美术出版社副编审，画册编辑室主任。在中国期间，其作品曾多次参加各种国家级大型美术作品展。
1992年作为访问学者赴俄罗斯东方艺术博物馆进行学术交流及举办当代艺术作品展，参加俄罗斯科学院东方研究所主办的“中国文化和当代中国”学术研讨会，同时创作的当代艺术作品《花神》系列共二十余件在此观摩展出。同年在俄罗斯及东欧诸国的国立美术馆举办艺术巡回展之后，被俄罗斯莫斯科市比拉耶沃现代美术馆聘请为艺术顾问。
2002年以来，受印度、尼泊尔驻泰王国大使馆的邀请，赴印度与尼泊尔两国进行宗教艺术方面的学术访问与交流。在此期间撰写多篇相关学术论文，即：“东方红色的崇拜”，同时以此课题展开长达三年之久的系列化、实验性当代艺术创作，之后又受邀在德国、荷兰、比利时、法国、西班牙等国进行学术访问及举办个展。
艺术家张可欣十几年来，运用装置、行为、影像、绘画、雕塑、新媒体等当代艺术语言，
一直活跃于中国，东南亚及国际艺术舞台，是一位具影响力的中国当代艺术家。现于曼谷和北京设有张可欣艺术工作室。
Zhang Kexin, born in Harbin, China in 1957. Graduated from the art department of the Normal University of Haerbin in 1982. Worked as editor of Heilongjiang’s Provincial Fine Art Publishing House in 1989. Participated many of the national art exhibitions from1984 to 1989.
1992, invited by the Ministry of Culture of the former Soviet Union as visiting scholar for culture-exchange program and art exhibition. Took part in the symposium of “Chinese Culture and Contemporary China” held by the Research Institute of Eastern Countries of the Russian Academy of Science. In March, engaged by Bieliayevo Museum of Modern Art in Moscow as consultant after the travelling exhibitions in the national museums of Russia and other countries of Eastern Europe.
2002, invited by the Embassy of India and Nepal in Thailand for scholar visits and culture-exchange programs in India and Nepal. Wrote concerning academic dissertations on subject of “Admiration of Red in the East”. Continuous art creations in experimental series during three years. Invited for visits and exhibitions in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain and other countries.
Now lives and works in Bangkok and Beijing.
