10月8日拍卖会之东南亚艺术总成交达HK$50,021,000 (US$ 6,4123,949)，当中的焦点为李曼峰之杰作《群马图》，买家反应热烈，在场内及电话中的竞投者争持激烈，最终以818万港元（逾1万美元）成交，为高估价之3倍，刷新李曼峰的个人拍卖纪录，令人兴奋。此外，越南大师黎谱的《越北景致》以206万港元（逾26万美元）成交，刷新画家之漆板作品拍卖纪录，同样瞩目。
从今天拍场所见，藏家热烈追捧苏富比用心搜罗的高水平拍品，多件拍品均创出卓越的成交价，大幅超越估价，当中包括印度尼西亚现代艺术大师阿凡迪的《自画像──吃西瓜》，以266万港元（逾34万美元）之高价成交。总括而言，整场拍卖气氛相当炽热，件数成交率达84.9%，佳绩有目共睹，再一次肯定苏富比于搜集拍品方面的独到眼光，以及东南亚艺术拍卖市场之稳健发展。
值得一提的是，现代部份成绩尤其理想，稳占最高成交拍品之多个席位，包括黎谱的《越北景致》和《披绿色围巾的仕女》；与此同时，十大成交拍品中亦囊括两幅当代作品，反映出市场整体的强劲表现。
The Autumn sale of Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art was held today at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, which achieved a total of over HK$50 million/ US$6.43 million. The artist record set for Lee Man Fong today with his exceptional Magnificent Horses fetching HK$8.18 million/ around US$1.05 million – 3 times the high estimate – after intense competitions and frenzied bidding over the phone and in the room. Equally noteworthy is the world auction record established for a lacquer work by Le Pho, with his Paysage du Tonkin (Landscape Of Tonkin) sold for HK$2.06 million/ over US$264,000.
There were very strong prices achieved, well above estimates, exemplified by Affandi’s masterpiece Self-Portrait, Eating Watermelon that commanded HK$2.66 million/ over US$341,000. Together with other exceptional prices, the solid sell-through rate of 84.9% highlights Sotheby’s excellent selection of superb pieces, underlined by the resilience and continued stability of the market. Modern works performed exceptionally well, dominating the top-ten.
In addition, the top-ten list includes two contemporary works as well as Le Pho’s Paysage du Tonkin (Landscape Of Tonkin) and La Femme à l'?charpe Verte (The Lady With The Green Scarf), showing strength throughout this market.
