11月18日,当代中国艺术和国家形象国际论坛在上海当代艺术馆开幕。会议嘉宾如下:
张晓刚(1958-),著名艺术家,擅长油画与雕塑,因为不断探求生命的意义和历史的底蕴而被称为“卡夫卡式的画家”,以“血缘:大家庭”等系列屡次打破亚洲画家最高拍卖纪录。
Zhang Xiaogang (b. 1958), one of world’s top artists. His “Bloodline: The Big Family” series become the iconic images of the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and his constant probing of the meanings of life and of the nature of memories have made him a “Kafkaesque” artist.
方力钧(1963-),著名艺术家,擅长油画、版画与雕塑,以亮艳的色彩、令人难忘的光头的形象而成为“玩世现实主义”的领军人物之一。
Fang Lijun (b. 1963), one of the world’s top artists, who burst onto the scene for his portrayal of a bald figure, numb in facial expression_r_rs, endlessly reproducible, and yet fully expressive of the desires and anxieties of a hedonist generation. His style has been known as “cynical realism.”
岳敏君(1962-),著名艺术家,擅长油画与雕塑,创造出最令人难忘的咧嘴大笑的无穷复制的形象,和方力均同为玩世现实主义的领袖。
Yue Minjun (b. 1962), one of the world’s top artists, the creator of one of the most unforgettable images of contemporary China: the ubiquitous face that grins from ear to ear but nevertheless appears tense, even fearful, in a variety of settings. Also a “cynical realist.”
李斌(1949-), 文革后“伤痕”美术的先驱,全国美展一等奖《枫》的三位作者之一。先后旅居日本和美国。近年重返上海,专注于对“红色传统”的反思性现实主义创作。
Li Bin (b. 1949), leading figure of the “scar literature/art” in the immediate aftermath of the Cultural Revolution. Co-creator of the famous work “The Maple Tree” in 1978. Recently returned to Shanghai after spending years in Japan and New York and has been focusing on realist reflection of the “red classics.”
海波(1962-),著名艺术家,擅长摄影,经常以黑白的形象揭示出环境的转变对人物的深层的影响。
Hai Bo (b. 1962), award-winning photography artist. Known for disclosing the conflicts between human presence and the surrounding settings.
崔岫闻 (1970-),著名艺术家,擅长摄影、观念、影像和装置艺术,专注于表述女性身体,揭示女性与环境和政治的关系问题。
Cui Xiuwen (b. 1970), one of China’s foremost avant-garde woman artists. Using various mediums such as photography, video, performance, and installation, she lays bare the female body of the post-Mao generations at multiple tension-filled sites.
李山(1942-),著名艺术家,以抽象变形的油画的方式探讨物种的生物属性等问题。
Li Shan (b. 1942), one of the veteran and most experimental artists of contemporary Chinese art. Traveling between New York and Shanghai, he increasingly turns his attention to the biological properties of species that includes the human being.
刘建华 (1962-),著名艺术家,以公共雕塑最为著称。最新作品之一为上海环球金融中心的“磁”。
Liu Jianhua (b. 1962), one of China’s most active sculptors. Based in Shanghai, he has created several public art works associated with Shanghai’s new landmarks, such as “The Magnet” in front of China’s tallest building, Shanghai World Financial Center.
