徐小国的新画有以下几个特征:
1:视角是全景式的,不论场面大还是小都是以一个宏观的视点来观看的,这使作品有一种古典的、沉思的气氛。
2:画面空间是舞台式的,景物是模型化的,空间关系是简化、夸张的,光线是人造的。这个舞台形成了一个区别于现实的虚拟世界,脱离了日常时空,仿佛处于真空世界,使景物蒙上一层虚幻的永恒感。
3:画法是舞台布景画法和商业“行画”画法的融合,这并不是以构成反讽为目的,而是与主题相适合的。
